Author: PoetessLaureate

I am a writer, counselor, and student of human behavior with a particular fascination for the unseen forces that organize our lives. My work combines psychology, field theory, complexity theory, attachment, and personal reflection to explore how people become who they are, how they change, and how they become entangled in one another’s stories. Psychological Cartography is my ongoing effort to map the terrain of the mind and the relational fields we inhabit. Through essays, poetry, and original concepts, I explore topics such as emotional contagion, projective identification, identity formation, social influence, and the hidden architectures of human connection. This is a place for curiosity, reflection, and the search for deeper coherence.

Spiritless Individual

Devolving into something ugly

Something scary

The fortress is open

Allowing in all manner of mischievous spirits

Enabling access to unnatural limitations, deviance, and depravity

Feeding the darkness within

Taking with it any attachment to kin, love, or anything

Find another stand in

Cannot be your standby

Looks like you’re going to have to get by without me

I know you don’t like to be lonely

And I know you are a slave to your selfish desires

Very tiresome from the outside looking in

Pointless to measure when you never win

Against the strength of the change winds

Champion of Delusions

Deluded myself yet again

Bored to death and lax with complacency

… a particular niche for you and me

And although my desires were not met

It somehow felt comfortable didn’t it?

The alternative much more harrowing a thought

…so I created a narrative that I could live with

If you know better do better

Break the chains

Break the shackles

Be free

Autonomy is the answer

To the mystery it seems

Awareness and conscious perception viewing things in reality

Reflection

Intuition telling you the way to go

But why do you not follow?

I was born in a river village

Born in a river village

Do not ask me as if I do not know

You see that it is resounding

And I know that it shows

What makes me stick out like a sore thumb

In the village makes me at home

When I breathe in that fresh air

The feeling like nothing I’ve ever known

This is where I’m home grown

This is where I belong

The place I’ve been searching for and I have always longed for

Unreal the way it unfolds

Pinching myself every step of the way

Definitely like a dream world that has me under sway
