Tactics

I am numb to fact

See, I cannot react

I cannot feel it

Cannot think it

Could not hear it if anyone said it

Yet no one really ever knew..

I feel shallow

I seem unable to delve to the depths

I was relentless in my quest to forget

I could not grasp the memory

To bring the thoughts

Back to you

I refused! to acknowledge what I knew

lucid dreaming

It is like a repeated loop in my mind

And I cannot unwind thinking of you has me so high strung

Yet tranquil and serene.. enveloped in daydreams

Of what happened between

That space and time where we intertwined

And became one for a  moment

How it fogs my mind

In opposing factions

It takes time to develop such confidence.

You must try again,

And again and again.

Yet still, good reasoning never wins..

So here we stand on this battlefield in opposing factions.

Not allied as we should be.

This is a most confounding mystery.

The seed of doubt manifested into reality…

And here we stand polar opposites..

What happened to “We”?

More than in the pockets of my mind

I want you sooo bad..

I can taste you on my lips.

It is a wonder.. you are not here,

To calm my nerves,

Relieve my fears.

So I just picture you here.

Yet sometimes I miss that physical thing…

Only reality can ultimately bring.

I swear I feel you sometimes..

More than in the pockets of my mind.

I feel your presence.

I feel your touch.

I have been longing for, so much.

~~ Visualize ~~

We are back to back sitting on a bench in a park.

There is dead silence..

Cold air.

We cannot look,

Only feel each other through the beat of our hearts and the heat of our bodies.

No eyes venture,

No touching..

Just words.

Feeling our heartbeats thumping…

Do you hear the texture of my jacket in the running wind?

Can you feel my hair on the back of your neck?

I feel like we are two trees in a forest…

Leaves cascading in the wind.

Natural and free, branches extended and roots gnarled together.

Gasping in the wind.

The scent of flowers and the sunlight radiant.

We sit back to back,

Pondering one another.
