Breaking my self down
No reason to shy away from the reality
I have to look inward
I must see
no more delusions
no more cognitive dissonance
no more false imagery
no more unconscious existence
Stepping into the light as a conscious being
Breaking my self down
No reason to shy away from the reality
I have to look inward
I must see
no more delusions
no more cognitive dissonance
no more false imagery
no more unconscious existence
Stepping into the light as a conscious being
No motivation
No sparks
No chemistry
This place is dead on arrival I see
What I cannot do… is unsee
The confounding wreckage dispersed before me
Strewn everywhere like some wild confetti
Like a charlatan disguising itself as some great glory
That should somehow be magnetizing for me
Instead it is repelling me violently
I refuse this blasphemy
I saw you before I came to
I dreamt of you
Every time I closed my eyes
I visualized your silhouette against a backdrop of the darkest depths
My shackles like shadowy darkness in the obsidian night
Left me bound and nearly dead of fright
I felt much pressure
Then the light was flooding me
Wakening me from my dreary reverie
The rain has washed the grey clouds away
The birds are chirping on this lovely day
…that has me under sway
I take deep breaths of a refreshed atmosphere
You would swear those grey clouds were never even there
