Author: PoetessLaureate

I am a writer, counselor, and student of human behavior with a particular fascination for the unseen forces that organize our lives. My work combines psychology, field theory, complexity theory, attachment, and personal reflection to explore how people become who they are, how they change, and how they become entangled in one another’s stories. Psychological Cartography is my ongoing effort to map the terrain of the mind and the relational fields we inhabit. Through essays, poetry, and original concepts, I explore topics such as emotional contagion, projective identification, identity formation, social influence, and the hidden architectures of human connection. This is a place for curiosity, reflection, and the search for deeper coherence.

Corinthians 6:19

The spirit of the goddess lives within you

To guide you through this Earthly fog

Earnestly praying…

Do not give what is Holy to dogs

For they will permeate and infiltrate the deepest recesses of your soul

If you do not set astral boundaries and exercise control

Do not give your pearls to swine

They have no respect for the divine

It is their nature to bottom feed

Quantity over quality

Gluttony and greed

Are all the swine can conceive

Now what shall I do?

Things change

… people too

You are not the same as I remember you

Our interactions had a different tone

Now I see a you, I have never known

Adjustment taking a while to sink in

Getting an uncomfortable feeling within

Telling me there is no value here

Though I eagerly long to be near

To that person I recall

When I look at you

Do not see him at all

Seems that things change

… people too

… and the dynamic is skewed beyond use

Subterfuge

Being beautifully misguided like a wild river over a waterfall

No qualms for the pieces in the future to mend

No realization

I am a means to an end

To upend the real concerns

A strawman fallacy if you will

An entertaining tangent

To draw attention to other ills,

That are inconsequential

That amount to nil

Bright-eyed and lackadaisically distracted

With a heart of gold

I seem to fold every time with you

I am hardly conscious

So it seems fine…

To be strung up by the puppeteer

While hardly being aware

Is the least of my fears

No concern for the plan you devised

Creating the illusion that I might be alive

To slave away for your prize

Destructive Vices

An empty life

Filling it up with destructive vices

I cannot fight this

Try as I might

The adrenaline spilling over the top

…and it must be stopped

Someway, somehow

Though for now I do not know

Just going with the ebb and flow

Carried away by the raging river of emotions

The shadowy cloak of mystery

Unraveling piece by piece

Until there is nothing left for me to see

Nothing left for me to be

There oblivion awaits me

to be… Inspired

Pondering this morning the meaning behind being inspired. So many different things can be inspiring. I woke up this morning was the spirit of positivity and hope emanating from within. I’m smiling on the inside and on the outside. All sorts of phrases and thoughts are running through my head. Almost faster than I can compute. I grasp onto a few ideas here and there. Mayhap they will become poems later.
