Author: PoetessLaureate

I am a writer, counselor, and student of human behavior with a particular fascination for the unseen forces that organize our lives. My work combines psychology, field theory, complexity theory, attachment, and personal reflection to explore how people become who they are, how they change, and how they become entangled in one another’s stories. Psychological Cartography is my ongoing effort to map the terrain of the mind and the relational fields we inhabit. Through essays, poetry, and original concepts, I explore topics such as emotional contagion, projective identification, identity formation, social influence, and the hidden architectures of human connection. This is a place for curiosity, reflection, and the search for deeper coherence.

Toss Away

Unhealthy distractions

I extract them and toss them away

Out of sight and out of mind.. they say

I can testify to its truth

Actively protecting the sanctuary

Of my mind, heart, and soul

No miseries to console

I am already good

Manic Lover

In a frenzy

Consuming seemingly endlessly

Yet the passion at it’s pinnacle

Can only uphold for so long it’s peak

Making the transition in the downward spiral

So bleak

No legitimate substance to fall back on

No choice but to move on

To find another source

That may extract the diamond in the rough

That exhilarating feeling I love so much

The Evolutionary Theory

The chemicals were compatible

So then we became close

Initially the pheromones and oxytocin were a fair dose

Soon the passion and excitement had me overdosed

Comatosed on your love

Strung out

Like an addict chasing drugs

Chasing the rush that will never be enough

Yet you keep trying

For just one more touch

And when we touch

The chemical magic

That strangeness and charm… becomes reality

Manifesting in phallic dreams

Exhausted, tired out in ecstasy

Yet I need more now

Good Lord, bless me please

Comfort & Warmth

In those arms I was consoled

Tenderness which cured my mind and thus my soul

The warmth and comforting feeling

Likely had me reeling

Therefore slightly out of control

Yet in safe arms that tightly hold

There is no quitting, no exit, no fold

You will never have my heart

Who would be silly enough to depend on you?

You’re the “Funtime” guy

Not the one that’s true

You simply could not do better if you wanted to

Do not forget our history

I know you

You cannot hide

You cannot perpetrate

My see-through you is straight

Yet I somehow always let you pull me back in with the shitz

Knowing you’re not really about that

Knowing you’re no true friend

I think my love for mess is getting testy and must come to an end
